Our Perfusion equipment consists of the Sorin S5 heart lung machine and 3T heater-cooler, the Sorin Xtra autotransfusion system, the Sorin SCP equipped with the Spectrum monitor for ECMO, the Maquet CS100 IABP, the ROTEM delta, Terumo CDI in-line blood gas monitoring, and Radiometer ABL90 blood gas machine.

Recently, the Perfusion department in conjunction with the Emergency Department received funding to support an ECPR pilot study. The St. Paul’s Perfusion department is also affiliated with the BCIT Cardiovascular Perfusion Program serving as a clinical training site.
